Therapy For Every Chapter of Womanhood

Holistic. Soulful. Grounded.

Lara Keegan, psychotherapist and counsellor based in Fremantle, supporting women through life's transitions.

I’m Lara, a Psychotherapist working with women at all stages of life in Fremantle and Perth

I’m interested in all aspects of our humanity—the good, the bad, and the ugly. I’ve done the gritty work in my own therapy and I know the importance of a steady companion in the therapy process. I am passionate about supporting women through the seasonal shifts of life.

Are you facing grief, relationship problems, a big life transition —or just fed up with feeling disconnected, lost, or stuck? Maybe you’re struggling with boundaries. Or holding something heavy that can’t be shared with anyone in your life.

I offer body-based, holistic therapy and counselling for women.

I go beyond basic talk-therapy to explore deeper emotions, as well as patterns and trauma held in the body. I work with awareness of your early attachment experiences, and I aim to create a relationship that feels emotionally safe and truly nourishing to you.

I want the therapy space to feel like a place that you look forward to coming to - that it’s your place, your time, your conversation.

My lived experience and qualifications make me an empathetic and insightful therapist. My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming and neurodiversity affirming, and I welcome you just as you are, whatever your story or identity in this world.

Therapy & Counselling with me…

I am trained to work with different therapeutic approaches, thoughtfully woven together to suit your unique needs. This allows us to explore your experience from multiple angles, at a pace and depth that feels right for you.

I will help you to bring awareness to your body, where trauma and deep emotions are held. I will help you to move towards the root of the pain in a way that feels safe and held, without overwhelm.

I work with the mind so you can understand the patterns that are repeating unconsciously. I facilitate inner-child work where you can re-connect with the lost or hurt younger versions of yourself.

I will hold the space gently for you to explore the darker, messier parts known as the shadow self.

I create a space that feels safe and nurturing. I bring compassion, humour and a genuine love for this work.

Each session is 55 minutes.

Why people choose to work with me

My way of working will suit you if

  • You want to feel really seen and listened to.

  • You like honesty and being with someone real.

  • You would like to go beyond talking to the deeper parts of yourself, to connect with your body and emotions.

  • You want to feel safe enough to be completely yourself — even with the messy or uncomfortable parts.

  • You want someone who’s qualified and experienced, but still warm, human, and easy to be around.

  • You appreciate a bit of humour and lightness sometimes — because therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time.
